What
is Dye Sublimation and Screen Printing
|
|
|
|
DYE SUBLIMATION
|
Dye sublimation
printed tablecloths
|
|
- In Dye
Sublimation the ink actually "dyes" the fabric.
- Dye sublimation
is a 4 color (CMYK) process print process so it can handle any number
of colors of types of images.
- The print
process starts always with white fabric and the colors are mixed as
they print on the fabric. The background color will be dyed in the printing
process.
- Most economical
print process for low volume and prints with multi color prints.
- Dye Sublimation
tablecloths are the same price no matter how many colors are in your
print.
- The background
color on the front panel is dyed to match the fabric color you select.
See how we construct a
drape tablecloth.
- Can print
both high resolution raster (.jpg, .tiff) as well as vector (.ai, .eps)
file.
- Very durable,
machine washable.

SPOT COLOR
SCREEN PRINTING
|
|
- In screen
printing the ink actually lays on top of the fabric.
- Screen
printing mixes the ink to match your pantone color before it is applied.
- Because
the ink stays on top of the fabric the process starts with the specific
color fabric you selected.
- Most economical
for high volume printing.
- Very durable,
machine washable.

Dye Sublimation and Screen Print will look very similar..The
difference would be the feel. You can feel the screen print ink thickness
on top of the fabric. Since the dye sub actually dyes the fabric you cannot
feel the thickness of the print.
